2019 SBO Essay Contest

Thank you to all the students who participated in the 19th annual School Band and Orchestra Essay Contest. The contest deadline was December 31, 2018.

Check sboplus.net April 15th for a complete list of the winners and their school music programs. The 20th annual essay contest will commence September 1, 2019.

Students you can win your share of $20,000 including matching music products for your school music program!

Ten $1,000 scholarships awarded in two categories:

• Five $1,000 scholarships grades four to eight
• Five $1,000 scholarships grades nine to twelve

The 2018 Essay Question (in 250 words or less):

What role has your music program played in bringing you closer to your school mates, friends and the community at large?
