AirTurn Introduces the DUO for Wireless Hands-Free Tablet Control

DUO Pedal Control Features Faster Connectivity and Lower Price

NEDERLAND, Colorado – May 7, 2015 – AirTurn, a leading manufacturer of wireless, hands-free controllers for tablets and computers, announced the DUO, a wireless 2-pedal foot controller for hands-free page turns, triggering effects and other applications.  The AirTurn DUO features updated electronics for faster connectivity and an easier interface for use by performers and presenters.  It will work with any Bluetooth tablet, smartphone or computer.

The DUO, featuring the BT-106 transceiver, replaces the BT-105 product series with many new features. The DUO’s new design places all controls and LEDs on top of the unit for better visibility.  The transceiver has a six button membrane switch that can be removed and used as a multimode handheld remote control.  The DUO works with over 100 applications for iPad, iPhone, Android tablets and Bluetooth-equipped Mac and PC computers for page turns, teleprompters, backing tracks among many other functions.

AirTurn added additional modes so performers can have up to six options that can be programmed for ProTools, iTunes, camera controls or trigger effects, such as audio, video or lights. Cables were shortened to make a smaller foot print.  With the new micro USB charging port, most android phone/tablet chargers will charge the DUO battery.

“By using the same polycarbonate materials found in bullet-proof glass, the silent ATFS-2 pedals built into the DUO are nearly indestructible,” said Lester Karplus, Director at AirTurn.  “We had high octane performers in mind when developing the DUO.  AirTurn believes its role is to manage the technology so artists and presenters can have the freedom to perform.”
