Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits 3Alfred Music is proud to release new levels of the already-existing series Alfred’s Basic Piano Library: Popular Hits. New levels being released include Level 1A, Level 3, Complete Level 1 (1A/1B), and Complete Levels 2 & 3.

Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits Complete Level 1

These supplementary books, arranged by Tom Gerou, answer the often expressed need for Broadway, pop, and movie music to be used as supplementary music for students. Soon after beginning piano study, students can play attractive versions of favorite classics as well as the best-known melodies of today.

When the books in the Popular Hits series are assigned in conjunction with the Lesson Books, these appealing pieces reinforce new concepts as they are introduced. In addition, the motivation the music provides could not be better. The emotional satisfaction that students receive from mastering each song increases their enthusiasm to begin the next one.

Each arrangement in Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits 1A includes a teacher duet. Not only do the duets add harmony and rhythmic structure to the solos, but they also teach students the “give and take” of working together in a collaborative performance. The book is correlated page-by-page with Lesson Book 1A of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library; pieces should be assigned based on the instructions in the upper-right corner of each title page of Popular Hits. Songs include “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “Cool Kids,” Do You Want Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits Complete Levels 2 & 3to Build a Snowman?,” “I’ll Stand by You,” “Iron Man,” “Jeepers Creepers,” “Just the Way You Are (Amazing),” “Minecraft,” “The Quidditch World Cup,” “Theme from Superman,” and “Wreck It, Wreck-It Ralph.”

Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits 3 correlates page-by-page with Lesson Book 3 of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library. Titles include “The Big Bang Theory,” “Colour My World,” “Hedwig’s Theme,” “James Bond Theme,” “Run with the Herd,” “See You Again,” “What Do You Mean?,” “When She Loved Me,” “Yellow Flicker Beat,” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”

Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits Complete Level 1 is a compilation of Level 1A and Level 1B of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Popular Hits, and correlates page-by-page with Lesson Book, Complete Level 1 of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library.
