Appalachian State University in Boone will host the PEAK Summit from July 23 through July 26, offering advanced training for audio professionals and educators. The North Carolina Music Educators Association reported on the upcoming event in a recent podcast episode featuring host Howie Ledford and professors Scott Wynne and Liz May.
The summit represents a collaboration between the university and the Carolina Section of the Audio Engineering Society. According to the association, the conference focuses on deep signal-flow analysis and hands-on workshops that include do-it-yourself builds such as microphone boosters and tube amplifiers.
Major industry sponsors supporting the event include API, Solid State Logic, Shure, and DPA, the source stated. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn continuing education unit credits during the sessions. The association noted that registration options include all-access passes or single-day tickets for Friday and Saturday.
