A new B&S 3137 Challenger I trumpet was presented to Morgan Cravens at the Band of Angels 4th Annual Heart Strings Gala.
B&S Donates Trumpet at Band of Angels Heart Strings Gala
Morgan Cravens of Kansas City, MO was taken by surprise as she was presented with a new B&S 3137 Challenger I trumpet by B&S performing artist Mark Pender, trumpeter for The Conan Show on TBS. This gift was made possible by Buffet Group USA and brass manufacturer B&S in conjunction with Meyer Music at the Band of Angels 4th Annual Heart Strings Gala. Mark Pender was the featured guest for the evening but the focus was clearly on the kids as Morgan was able to share the stage and perform alongside Mark and the band. Buffet Group USA President and CEO, Francois Kloc made the presentation which was a complete shock to Morgan and her family. Kristin Cravens says, “I cried watching my beautiful daughter receive a gift of a lifetime. There are really no words that can express our gratitude. Morgan was so excited to take her new trumpet to school this morning … She said that all she wants to do is work hard and make everyone proud!”
Band of Angels was formed as a partnership between Fox 4 TV and Meyer Music. Their goal is to collect music instruments and to help fund the purchase of musical instruments for use by children in need who want to study music. Band of Angels also offers scholarships to the students we serve so that they may further their music education. Instruments collected are used to help fund programs and are given to students in need.
