The Bethlehem Central School District reported that its music booster organization is seeking community support for music programming serving more than 4,000 students from kindergarten through grade 12. The Bethlehem Music Association, the official boosters of the district’s music program, announced the fundraising effort through the district’s communications office.
According to the district, the music department includes 16 music teachers and over 35 performing ensembles across elementary, middle and high school levels. The Bethlehem Music Association operates as a registered 501(c)3 organization with a mission to provide support for music education at all Bethlehem schools.
The district reported that the association has funded guest artists and conductors, music field trips, the district music festival, faculty recital refreshments, student participation in local, state and national music festivals, scholarships for graduating seniors, and volunteer assistance at NYSSMA festivals held in Bethlehem.
The district said donations are tax deductible and can be made online through PayPal or Venmo, or by mailing a membership form and check. The association also maintains Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on events and programming.
