The Drum Corps International (DCI) tour reached its climax from August 3-8 with the World Championships, according to DCI officials. Events unfolded across Ohio and Indiana, culminating in a thrilling display of precision and artistry.
The Battalion established dominance in the Open Class preliminary performances, which took place in Dayton. Following those initial showings, Blue Devils B ultimately captured the 2026 Open Class championship.
Semifinal competition was notably tight, with a very small margin separating corps vying for the 12th qualifying position. Bluecoats emerged victorious, claiming their third DCI gold medal within the last ten years. Their performance also marked the fifth instance in DCI history of a corps receiving a score of 99 points.
Alongside the competitive events, Buccaneers successfully maintained their position as champions of the All-Age category. Additionally, SoundSport Fest highlighted inclusivity and community engagement. The 2026 DCI Tour formally ended on August 9.
