Buffet Crampon USA has appointed percussion educator, performer and composer Mark Ford as director of its newly formed Division of Education. Ford began the role on Aug. 3.
Ford joins the division after serving as coordinator of percussion at the University of North Texas College of Music. He is also a past president of the Percussive Arts Society and has worked as a B&S Bergerault Percussion artist for more than two decades.
In the new position, Ford will work with educators, students and artists on music-education initiatives and relationships across the band and orchestra community.
“With his broad knowledge of the band and orchestra fields, Mark is a natural fit for the Buffet Crampon family, and we look forward to the vision and leadership he will bring to our Division of Education,” Buffet Crampon USA President and CEO Francois Kloc said in the announcement.
