Carmel High School’s band boosters are expanding their annual fundraising program as the Indiana ensemble prepares to perform in the Jan. 1, 2027 Rose Parade in Pasadena.
Current in Carmel reported that planned efforts include a car wash, restaurant fundraising nights, a mattress sale, a community event and a vehicle raffle. The winner can select a vehicle or a cash alternative.
Boosters said financial assistance for students and the cost of transporting equipment to California make fundraising especially important for this trip.
The campaign shows how major performance invitations create expenses beyond an individual student’s travel price, including equipment movement and support for families that could otherwise be excluded.
