ChamSys lighting consoles were deployed across multiple stages at the Download Festival in the UK. The festival held its title as the largest rock festival in the UK, drawing over 100,000 fans. Fans were treated to a wider array of music as the festival featured a representation of younger artists and geographically diverse performers. ZigZag Lighting furnished ChamSys desks and provided the lighting kit for all stages except Apex and Opus. PRG supplied the kit for the Apex Stage and Siyan for the Opus Stage. Lighting designers relied on the versatility and intuitive layout of ChamSys consoles to enhance the reenergized festival performances. The performances ranged from the nostalgic to reality bending shows. MagicQ consoles delivered flexibility and reliability for house rigs, touring productions and late-night stages. The MagicQ MQ500M Stadium Console was used on the Avalanche Stage 3 and Dogtooth Stage 4, as well as the District X Doghouse. The MagicQ MQ250M Stadium Console was used on The Den. The MagicQ MQ70 was used on the Ace of Spades. MagicQ MQ60s were used on the Hellfire and The Outpost. Touring rigs at the festival also utilized ChamSys products. Pete Therrien used an MQ80 and Extra Wing for Social Distortion on the Opus Stage. Wiktor Kozak used a Mini Connect for Decapitated on the Dogtooth stage. Stefan Gunkel used a Stadium Connect for Cypress Hill. Adam McNally used a Stadium Connect for RØRY on the Apex Stage. Richard Wolfgang used a MaxiWing for The Pretty Wreckless at their Sunday Apex show. The ChamSys team expressed gratitude to ZigZag Lighting, specifically Neil Hunt, Tom Rawlinson, Luke Maxwell, Isaac and the entire crew. They also appreciated the work by the teams at PRG and Siyan.
