Conductor Lars Ulrik Mortensen Makes His Juilliard Debut

Lars Ulrik MortensenNEW YORK – Lars Ulrik Mortensen makes his Juilliard debut conducting period-instrument ensemble Juilliard415 in Works by Biber, Corelli, and Muffat.

The program features Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber’s Concerto Grosso No. 6 in A Minor from Fidicinium sacro-profanum (1683); Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso in F Major, Op. 6, No. 2; George Muffat’s Sonata II in G Minor from Armonico tributo (1682); Corelli’s Concerto Grosso in D Major, Op. 6, No. 4 (1714); Corelli’s Concerto Grosso in C Minor, Op. 6, No. 3 (1714); and Muffat’s Sonata V in G Major from Armonico tributo (1682)

Tickets for $20 are available at events.juilliard.edu or at the Alice Tully Hall Box Office. Tickets are free for Juilliard students; non-Juilliard students with valid ID may purchase tickets for $10.

Juilliard’s full-scholarship Historical Performance program was established and endowed in 2009 by the generous support of Bruce and Suzie Kovner.
