Drum Workshop Inc. unveiled a wide range of new products and artist awards at the 2026 NAMM show. The Oxnard, California-based company, which joined the Roland family of brands in October 2022, introduced updates across its portfolio including DW, PDP, Latin Percussion and Slingerland.
DW added Pure Walnut shells to its Collector’s Series line, delivering full-bodied tonality for live and studio situations. The DW MFG Limited Edition True-Cast 4×14-inch piccolo snare drum is the first True-Cast piccolo, designed in collaboration with artist Dave Elitch. The 3000 Series hardware pedals, thrones, hi-hats and snare stands are now available in optimized 2, 3 and 4-piece hardware pack configurations for e-drummers and acoustic players. New DWe acoustic-electronic wireless kit options include 4-piece and 5-piece bundles featuring DW Collector’s Series 333 Maple shells, a choice of Roland V51 or V71 modules, two cymbal pack options and a new DWe Side Snare Bundle.
PDP launched a Concept Acrylic Kit featuring seamless acrylic hoops with a translucent vibe. The 6.5×14-inch Concept Acrylic Snare is available separately. New Concept Series Pneumatic Locking Thrones feature a pneumatic valve that can be locked, padded memory foam seats and an X-Brace reinforcement.
Latin Percussion extended the City Series with City Timbales featuring 6-inch deep Black Sand Steel shells that are drum key tunable. The Pedrito Timbales are 6.5-inch deep, 14-inch and 15-inch steel drums finished in Mocha coating with chrome-plated hardware. The Tony Succar Series includes stave shell congas, bongos, 10-inch deep thunder timbales, 6.5-inch deep timbalitos, a New Zealand Pine cajon, 10-inch Salsa snare and 8-inch and 6-inch Micro snares. Limited Edition Cherry Congas and Bongos are made of solid-ply, 100 percent cherry wood with copper-plated hardware and a top-tuning system with 5/16-inch diameter tuning rods.
Slingerland released a North American Maple solid shell Radio King Snare Drum. It is available in 5.5×14-inch and 7×14-inch sizes with vintage-inspired lacquer and wrap finishes, including Maroon Glass and Gold Glass.
Drum Workshop honored Josh Freese with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Latin Percussion presented Karl Perazzo with a Lifetime Achievement Award to honor his contribution to music and percussion. A Chad Smith Red Hot Chili Peppers tour kit was displayed. The setup was customized to Smith’s specifications and features his signature L.A. Dodgers logo head. Products were showcased in Roland NAMM Room 202A, Level 2.
