The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) returns to the majestic Edsel & Eleanor Ford House for a two-concert series conducted by former DSO Assistant Conductor Teddy Abrams.

For two nights the Orchestra will play on the grounds of the elegant Grosse Pointe Shores estate, serenading audiences beside Lake St. Clair as the sun sets over the historic home. The first concert, titled “Broadway Hits & More!” will star vocal duo Will and Anthony Nunziata. The second concert, “An American Symphonic Celebration,” is a program inspired by the beauty and wonder of America—including pieces from Bernstein, John Williams, Dvořák, and more.

Concerts take place on Fri., Jul. 8, and Sat., Jul. 9 at 8 p.m. with a thrilling fireworks finale each night at 9:30 p.m.

The grounds of Ford House will open at 6 p.m. to allow attendees the opportunity to explore the gardens, stroll along the lake, and visit Bird Island—a small peninsula on the premises that is a well-known stopping place for migratory birds. Guests can also enjoy pre-concert music performed by area students.

Major support for the performances is provided by Beaumont and Fifth Third Bank. The fireworks presentations are made possible by support from the Cotton Family.
