St Henry’s Marist College High School Choir from Durban earned a silver medal and sixth-place finish at the Summa Cum Laude International Choral Competition held in Sun City. citizen.co.za reported that this event marked the first time the global competition took place on African soil, providing a unique international platform for local student ensembles.
The students underwent months of intensive preparation involving early morning departures and strict vocal discipline to deliver their 22-minute performance. Tessa Swart, Head of Advancement at the school, stated that the achievement reflects what young people can accomplish through dedication and collaboration.
