Eastman School of Music to Host Music College Fair

The Eastman School of Music will be presenting the 12th annual Music College Fair in Upstate New York on Thursday, September 28 in collaboration with Ithaca College and The Juilliard School.

The festival will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Cominsky Promenade on the second floor of the Eastman School of Music, and on the balcony level of Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

At the festival, high school and college students who are interested in studying music can meet one-on-one with admissions representatives from 65 of the top colleges, universities, conservatories, summer programs, festivals, and other pre-college programs. In addition, a presentation and Q&A on “Applying to Music Schools” will also be held in Hatch Recital Hall.

Aside from the Eastman School, Ithaca College, and The Juilliard School, other institutions that will be represented at this event include Boston University, Carnegie Mellon University School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, The New England Conservatory, Northwestern University, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, SUNY Fredonia, Rice University, Frost School of Music at University of Miami, University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and many others.

Admission is free and attendees do not need to pre-register. Guests with needs are encouraged to contact the Eastman School’s Office of Admission in advance at 585-274-1201.
