ebbandflow releases ‘hallowed bells’ instrument for Sound Design

ebbandflow has announced the availability of 'Hallowed Bells,' a new instrument slated for release in 2026, according to Sound on Sound. The virtual instrument replicates the sound of a celeste recorded within a scoring environment.

According to reporting by Sound on Sound, the creation of 'Hallowed Bells' involved using three separate stereo microphone setups to record the celeste. The plug-in is designed to offer modern production capabilities, incorporating several tools for sonic manipulation.

The software features five distinct sections, including a synthesizer that utilizes samples to modify the instrument’s timbre. Users will find integrated effects such as granular re-synthesis, delay, and reverb, allowing for extensive customization. Adjustments can also be made to sympathetic resonances and the perceived room ambience.

'Hallowed Bells' is compatible with Windows 10 and later, as well as macOS 12 and subsequent versions. It is offered in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in formats. The introductory price is set at $39, £29, or €39, a reduced rate from its regular price of $59, £49, or €59.
