The Elbphilharmonie Hamburg is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of events marking the start of its anniversary season. Amedia day has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, where attendees can participate in a panel discussion, exclusive interviews and the season’s opening concert featuring Alexandre Kantorow and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
The Elbphilharmonie Hamburg celebrates its 10th birthday with a series of events marking the start of its anniversary season. Amedia day has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, where attendees can participate in a panel discussion, exclusive interviews and the season’s opening concert featuring Alexandre Kantorow and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
The panel discussion will take place at 2 p.m. in the Recital Hall, with Christoph Lieben-Seutter, General & Artistic Director of the Elbphilharmonie & Laeiszhalle Hamburg; Pierre de Meuron, Architect and Founding Partner of Herzog & de Meuron; Dr. Carsten Brosda, Hamburg’s Senator for Culture and Media; and other guests discussing the Elbphilharmonie’s success story over the past decade.
Following the panel discussion, attendees can participate in exclusive interviews with the panellists from 3:30 p.m. onwards. Food and refreshments will be provided for accredited media representatives before and after the panel discussion.
The day concludes with the opening concert of the anniversary season at 8 p.m. in the Grand Hall, featuring Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Alexandre Kantorow Piano and Conductor Manfred Honeck performing Johannes Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 in Dminor, Op. 15 and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in Dminor, Op. 47.
