Extended Call for EAS National Coordinators – North Macedonia and Ukraine June 26, 2026June 26, 2026 easwebsite National Coordinators, Open Calls The EAS has extended the application period for National Coordinator positions for 2025–27 – North Macedonia and Ukraine.EAS National Coordinator: Role Description and responsibilitiesThe ‘National Coordinators’ (NCs) represent the EAS at national level. They support music education activities and initiatives in their countries, and they communicate these activities at European level.
They may cooperate in this with other representatives of the EAS, primarily with the EAS board members and with the NCs of the other countries. Contribution to EASThe NCs should be persons who know about EAS, are EAS individual members, who have attended recent conferences and contributed to EAS’s international work. Professional Field: The NCs should strongly be connected in their professional field to music education in schools (e.g. specialized/certified music teachers, music teacher trainers, and university music teachers). Motivation: The NCs are interested and engaged in developing our common European network for music education and help to motivate people and institutions within their country to participate in EAS conferences and become individual / institutional members.
Ability to contribute: The NCs should in principle be able:to communicate in English languageto join the annual conferencesto attend the annual NC-meetings prior to the conferences and report on national developmentsto keep the country page of the EAS website up to dateto support active engagement in Eudamus by teachers, students and communities in the NC’s countryto contribute to the newsletter, other aspects of the website and sometimes to international projects.to present in the NC-Symposia during conferencesNominations for SF / DSF from different institutions: The NC should be able to distribute the nomination for the annual Student Fora (Student Forum and Doctoral Student Forum) and nominate, activate participants from her/his country involving a broad range of colleagues and institutions.
Contact to national associations: the NC should make / keep contact with the national associations in music education. Country Network: As the ‘National Coordinators’ (NCs) represent the EAS at national level and support music education activities and initiatives in their countries.
