The full cast and design team have been revealed for Todrick Hall’s “Midnight,” set to make its North American debut this autumn at the Daryl Roth Theatre after two sold-out London engagements, BroadwayWorld reported. Performances commence Saturday, September 12, with an official opening scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026. The limited engagement is slated to conclude Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Hall serves as writer, director, and choreographer. Principal cast members include Jeremy Beloate, Jimmy Brewer, Kennedy Caughell, Dwayne Clark, Sidney Dupont, Ayana George, Autumn Hurlbert, Kolbi Jordan, Sarah Lynn Marion, Ciaran McCarthy, and Charlotte Odusanya. The ensemble features Gregory Carl Banks Jr., Kyla Bartholomeusz, Keely Beirne, Zachary Bigelow, Brandon Burks, Jaylon C. Crump, Abbey Friedmann, Ndaya Dream Hoskins, Omar Madden, Brayden James Newby, JJ Niemann, Barnaby Reiter, Aveena Sawyer, Nissi Shalome, Bronwyn Tarboton, Jenni Thomasson, Matthew Varvar, and Emily Yates.
Set in the 19th-century American South, the production follows twelve interconnected lives—six Black characters and six white characters—examining love, identity, and empathy across racial, class, and societal boundaries. The wholly sung-through score incorporates gospel, rhythm and blues, pop, rock, folk, opera, and musical theatre. The creative team includes Laurence Stannard (music supervisor), Mark Crossland (orchestrations), Morgan Large (sets), Beck Jones (costumes), Jake DeGroot (lighting), Lawrence Schober (sound), and Charles G. LaPointe (wigs/hair). Casting directors are Sujotta Pace and Stephen Kopel. McBee serves as production stage manager.
