Hal Leonard adds two baritone ukulele books

Hal Leonard adds two baritone ukulele books

Hal Leonard has released two baritone ukulele titles: Hal Leonard Baritone Ukulele Method – Book 2 and The Daily Ukulele – Another Year: Baritone Edition. The books add instruction and repertoire for solo players, ukulele clubs and classrooms.

Written by Lil’ Rev, Method Book 2 builds on the first volume with scales, chords, melody playing and strumming techniques. Styles include folk, blues, old-time, rock, reggae, calypso, boogie and Tin Pan Alley. Lessons use songs, exercises and practical musicianship, with 67 audio examples and two bonus video demonstrations available online to stream or download.

The book is intended for students who have finished Book 1, as well as intermediate ukulele or guitar players ready for more advanced material. The publisher lists Method Book 2, product number HL00277340, at $16.99.

Compiled and arranged by Jim Beloff, The Daily Ukulele – Another Year: Baritone Edition contains 365 songs, with none repeated from earlier volumes. Each song is arranged for baritone ukulele in uke-friendly keys, with melody, lyrics and chord grids.

The collection includes songs by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Paul Simon, John Prine, John Denver and Hank Williams, alongside contemporary pop, Motown, country and early folk material. The baritone edition, product number HL02077556, is listed at $59.99. Both titles are available from Hal Leonard.
