Helgoboss releases Jam Pad recording organizer

Helgoboss Projects has announced Jam Pad, an offline-first recording organizer designed to help musicians organize recordings and the moments inside them. The application is available for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows, with optional synchronization and collaboration.

Jam Pad imports recordings from files, folders, handheld recorders and cloud storage, and can capture new recordings directly. Musicians can build structured spaces containing comments, markers, playlists, recordings and formatted sheets with playable references to important passages.

The application is designed for collections of improvisations, musical sketches, practice sessions and rehearsals. Comments, filtering, ratings, search, tagging and customizable musical properties help users navigate accumulated material. Visual review heat maps show which parts of a recording have already been listened to and which still need attention.

Important passages can be collected into playlists and referenced inside sheets. Acoustic feedback and Bluetooth remote control let users create and rate markers or record voice notes while reviewing recordings away from a screen.

Jam Pad works without an account and keeps data on the user's own devices by default. Users can synchronize selected workspaces across their devices via Wi-Fi. Private cloud spaces let bands, producers, students and teachers review recordings together, edit sheets, exchange comments and organize moments collectively. Only owners of shared cloud spaces require a subscription; invited collaborators can participate without one.
