The Indiana State School Music Association’s fall marching band season concludes Saturday, Nov. 7, with open class state finals at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis, according to Yahoo.
Two scholastic class bands, Wawasee and Lake Central, will perform in exhibition beginning at 9:25 a.m., with the first open class group competition starting at 10 a.m., Yahoo reported. Class B finals also begin at 10 a.m.
Some student performers will wrap their competitive seasons this weekend, while others will continue to the Bands of America Grand National Championship scheduled for Nov. 12-14 at the same stadium, Yahoo noted.
Yahoo reported that performers from around the country will compete at Lucas Oil Stadium for the grand national championships, with Indiana bands among those participating based on information last updated Oct. 25.
Spectators attending the state finals should be aware of the Monumental Marathon happening downtown the same Saturday, which may affect travel to the venue, Yahoo advised.
