ISI Yogyakarta reported the Undergraduate Music Education Program within the Faculty of Performing Arts will host the international symposium “Reimagining Music Education: AI, Technology, and Creative Learning” on Sept. 30, 2026. The institution stated the hybrid event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time at the Concert Hall and via Zoom, gathering academics, educators, artists, practitioners and the public to discuss how artificial intelligence impacts music teaching and creativity.
ISI Yogyakarta noted that keynote speakers from institutions in Indonesia, the United States, Vietnam, Belgium, Argentina and Thailand will share diverse perspectives on adapting curricula for the digital age. The forum aims to help participants navigate technological changes while preserving human expression and artistic sensitivity. Organizers hope discussions will address maintaining the human element in music production and distribution as tools evolve.
According to ISI Yogyakarta, the event seeks to strengthen academic networks and support teachers in developing adaptive learning approaches. Registration remains open until Sept. 28 for students, faculty and community members interested in the future of arts education. Participants will receive electronic certificates and access networking sessions designed to foster innovation in music pedagogy globally.
