Jazz in China, a new 76-minute documentary that can be viewed on UNESCO’s International Jazz Day, April 30, 2021, will be available to be seen five days earlier, April 26, by those who help fund the documentary project, led by Baruch College professor Eugene Marlow, Ph.D.

More details from Eugene Marlow:

“When I start to know jazz, I feel like jazz gives much more freedom to the musician. You can improvise. You can be yourself.”
—Jasmine Chen, Vocalist “Crazy Rich Asians,” Featured in Eugene Marlow’s documentary, “Jazz in China”

Great News: Eugene Marlow, Ph.D. has been invited to launch his documentary “Jazz in China” as an “official” event of UNESCO’s International Jazz Day, April 30th, 2021.

The 76-minute documentary can be viewed for FREE on a Vimeo platform for the 24-hours of International Jazz Day posted on UNESCO’s International Jazz Day web site.

But you can be one of the first to view 5 days earlier! When you help fund this project you’ll be sent a unique URL on April 26th to view the documentary.

More Great News: When you donate today, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar until the campaign ends on April 15th thanks to a generous anonymous donor. In effect, your donation is doubled!

Double your gift here.

This documentary couldn’t get made without your support, and we’re grateful for your role in getting this little known, but important story told.

And when you make a gift to the “Jazz in China” project TODAY, you’ll not only have it matched, but you’ll also take satisfaction in knowing you are supporting the message of democracy and freedom of expression through music.

Simply donate online by clicking here.

Reality Check: Dr. Marlow expects this program to ultimately be shown globally at educational institutions, at film festivals, and on a cable channel. But getting there all takes funding.

It has taken four years to produce this documentary. And the work is not yet over.

In mid-February Dr. Marlow launched this crowdfunding campaign which ends April 15—that’s only 6 days away! And we’re only 41% of the way to our $10,000 goal.

Won’t you please become a part of supporting this unique project! Since all contributions will be doubled from now until the end of the campaign, we can get there with your help.

If you are able, please make a gift now to support this unique “international jazz” project.

Thank you so much,

The “Jazz in China” Team
