Job Purpose:
To inspire a love of music in young learners through engaging, play-based, and inquiry-driven experiences conducted in English, fostering creativity, self-expression, confidence, and early musical development while supporting the school's educational philosophy and curriculum.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons aligned with the Early Years curriculum and school programs.
• Promote musical skills through singing, movement, rhythm, instrumental exploration, and creative expression.
• Foster students’ social, emotional, cognitive, and artistic development through music.
• Assess and monitor student progress using formative assessment strategies and maintain accurate records.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
• Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and families to support student learning and participate in school events, performances, and community activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Music, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or qualification related to Music Education.
• English proficiency certification (minimum B2 level).
Experience
• Previous teaching experience in Early Years, Preschool, or Elementary Music Education.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging music programs for young children.
• Experience in international, bilingual, IB, Reggio Emilia, or similar educational settings is desirable
Skills & Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and music pedagogy.
• Ability to design engaging, play-based and inquiry-based music experiences.
• Knowledge of singing techniques, rhythm, movement, instrumental exploration, and performance preparation for young learners.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of inclusive education practices and student-centered learning approaches.
