About the Role
Contract: Permanent, Part Time – 0.2 FTE (1 day per week)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2026
You will deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing pupils' musical knowledge, creativity and confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching music theory, composition, performance and appreciation.
• Supporting pupils to make strong academic and musical progress.
• Preparing and supporting pupils through their KS4 studies.
• Encouraging pupils of different abilities to participate confidently in music.
• Contributing to extracurricular music, performances and wider school life.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Music curriculum.
About You : We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a degree in Music or a closely related discipline.
• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Music at secondary level.
• Can plan creative and engaging lessons that inspire pupils.
• Has high expectations for pupil progress and achievement.
• Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to professional development.
• Is keen to contribute to the wider musical and creative life of the school.
