Middle School Dance Teacher

Nashville, Tennessee, The Harpeth Hall School seeks a part-time Middle School Dance Teacher to teach 8th grade. The ideal candidate is a student-centered, creative dance educator who is enthusiastic about working with middle school girls and is committed to innovative pedagogy and collaboration with colleagues. Excellent writing and communication skills are a requirement of this role.
Experience teaching middle school-aged dance students is preferred, as is curriculum development. Candidates with past experience in school settings will be given priority. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Teach ballet, contemporary, creative movement, jazz, hip-hop, and tap.
Monitor, assess, and document student growth and skill development.
Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes lifelong healthy habits and teamwork.
Potential to teach in the afterschool dance program.
