Primary Music Teacher

Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba is seeking a passionate and motivated Music Teacher to teach across Key Stages 1 and 2. Our expectation is that the successful candidate will develop and grow with the department, to help to shape practices and ensure that music becomes a leading area of school life.

The department is superbly resourced with a wide variety of instruments and a broad peripatetic music programme, as well as purpose built classrooms to encourage and display students’ creativity.

You will join and be supported by a successful and highly creative Head of Department who is determined to make Music a leading light within the school community.

Kings’ is part of the John Hattie Visible Learning programme. This focuses on how to best enhance student achievement, linking closely to our mission statement of “The best by every child.” All teachers receive excellent and highly desirable professional development which informs our approach as a professional body.

Requirements:

• Holds a Bachelor degree relevant to the teaching subject

• Holds a qualified teacher status (QTS) and/or a PGCE

• An outstanding teacher, with experience of teaching Primary

• Able to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record/ability to deliver results

• Experienced in running music clubs, assemblies and productions is essential

• A commitment to the well being and pastoral care of all students within their care

• Able and willing to make a broader contribution to school life

• Innovative, creative, enthusiastic and able to deliver results

• The ability to motivate, enthuse and engage with children and adults

• A demonstrable commitment to a robust culture of high expectations and quality care

• Excellent professional knowledge and understanding developed in an established educational context

• Assessment strategies and the use of assessment to inform progress in teaching and learning

• Ability to manage change and work under pressure of changing circumstances

• An exceptional, collaborative, inspirational practitioner with proven ability to build positive working relationships with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
