We are seeking to appoint an Head of Dance to support our brand new Montaigne Performing Arts Weekend School here at Notre Dame School!

Our Academic and Extra Curricular Drama & Performing Arts plays a fundamental role in our whole school from Year 7 to Sixth form School and we are delighted to be expanding our exemplary provision.

Our Montaigne Performing Arts Programme, a significant development in our School’s creative history, is designed for every girl who loves theatre. Whether she is drawn to the stage, the camera or the lighting rig, this programme celebrates every role. As part of our broad and creative curriculum, we are proud to be further developing our opportunities to rival any other school.

Our New School offers High-quality training in the “triple threat” disciplines: Singing, Acting, and dancing. The Sessions will be delivered weekly by specialist staff in our 370-seat, professional-level Montaigne Theatre and Studio. Our students will deliver termly performances and showcases for parents and guests, with opportunities to participate in local festivals and competitions.

Montaigne Performing Arts Programme | Notre Dame School

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will play a crucial role in teaching and fostering success in the school. 

You will be an accomplished teacher in the performing arts and dance, with energy and enthusiasm to support the school to succeed, and a genuine passion for inspiring young people. 

The Key responsibilities are:

• Lead and deliver high-quality dance training aligned with the Artistic Director’s vision, fostering an inclusive and disciplined learning environment

• Plan and oversee a structured curriculum, track student progress, and adapt teaching to support development

• Choreograph and manage rehearsals and performances, collaborating to deliver engaging productions

• Support operations, safeguarding, communication, and continuous improvement to ensure smooth, safe programme delivery
