Our teachers go the extra mile to support our ambition for students to make a difference in the world. We promote a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to show curiosity, excellence, commitment, respect, integrity, and care.
The reality of aspiring to these standards for a JESS teacher is that: there are high expectations regarding commitment to continuing professional development and standards of classroom practice; teachers must be fully involved within a busy, demanding system of pastoral care; exceptionally high standards of student progress and attainment are expected to be maintained; and all staff fully contribute to our world-class co-curricular programme.
The rewards are considerable: working with motivated, polite, and eager-to-learn students; opportunities to advance professional credentials through extensive CPD; being part of a school that leads in tech and digital innovation; and joining a team that achieves outstanding academic outcomes with a diverse, non-selective cohort.
At JESS we promote a supportive learning environment where students always feel determined to do their best.
