Job Summary:

Barnstable High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as the Assistant Marching Band Instructor. This is an after-school, stipend position that will support the Marching Band Stipend and Band Director in leading and directing the school's marching band program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Marching Band Stipend and Band Director in planning and executing all marching band rehearsals and performances

• Provide instruction and guidance to marching band members during rehearsals

• Help coordinate the logistics of marching band events, including competitions, parades, and other performances

• Support the creation and implementation of the marching band's curriculum and training program

• Assist with the maintenance and organization of marching band equipment and uniforms

• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for marching band members

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding marching band activities

• Attend all marching band rehearsals, performances, and competitions

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Marching Band Stipend or Band Director

Qualifications:

• Experience in marching band instruction or leadership

• Strong musical and conducting skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively with the Marching Band Stipend, Band Director, and marching band members

• Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend rehearsals and performances

Compensation: Step 1: 4,055; Step 2: 5,066; Step 3 6,082
