The Department of Theatre and Visual Arts at Fordham University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Theatre Design at the Lincoln Center campus beginning in Fall 2027. Fordham’s Theatre Program engages across a broad spectrum of embodied practices and rigorous study within four areas of concentration: Design and Production, Performance, Directing, and Playwriting.    We seek a collaborative artist-educator with expertise in theatre design. The Design and Production Concentration houses students in the set, light, sound, costume, and stage management concentrations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach across multiple areas of theatrical design. Experience teaching and/or professional practice in lighting and sound design is also highly desirable.
