We are looking for an inspiring and accomplished Singing Teacher to join our thriving Music Department.

This is an opportunity to work with pupils across a broad range of abilities, from those taking their first singing lessons through to advanced musicians working towards Grade 8, ARSM diplomas, auditions, scholarships and performances. You will help young singers develop confidence, technique and musicianship, tailoring your teaching to individual needs and ambitions while encouraging pupils to enjoy and take ownership of their progress.

Singing plays an important part in the musical life of St Edward’s, with pupils achieving strong examination results and progressing to choral scholarships and further musical study.

About you

You will be an enthusiastic and supportive teacher with experience of teaching young people from beginner through to advanced level. You will have strong knowledge of vocal pedagogy and healthy vocal development, together with an understanding of a wide range of repertoire and vocal styles. Experience preparing pupils for ABRSM and/or Trinity College London examinations, performances, concerts and recitals is essential.

An excellent communicator, you will be able to motivate pupils with different levels of experience and commitment, set clear and ambitious goals and adapt your approach to individual learners.
