Main Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers lessons according to the curriculum provided or created on the Academic Calendar of the course to be taught

• Teach according to the programme or across the programme offering, abilities, and attainment of the individual/ group of students

• Assign work such as homework, assignments, group work, etc., and assess or correct the work of students

• Prepares, administers, and corrects assessments, records results of students and feedback the results to students in timely manner in every term

• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students

• Follows the guidelines and teaching related administrative tasks assigned by the programme team of the respective teaching programme(s)

• Attending the Academic meeting(s) as requested by the programme team

• Encourages students to think independently and express ideas

• Counsel students and guardians when problems arise

• Provides guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education

• Discusses student academic performance and behavioral attitudes with programme management teams and/or parents in the interest of students

• Updates of attendance and assessments result record in timely manner, not later than the set deadlines

• Reviews and evaluates methods of own teaching from time to time for the purpose of professional development

• Maintains good order and discipline among students and safeguards their health and safety at any time and place when students are under his/her care

• Participates in school meetings held in the interest of the school/ students

• Assumes responsibility for extended school activities such as student club and other duties beyond regular teaching activities

• Provides necessary information and advice pertaining to the assigned subject/s

• Participates actively in the school’s marketing and public relations activities and acts as the representative of the school
