Arnold House was founded in 1905 in St John’s Wood. It is an independent preparatory school located in London, NW8, for boys from 3 to 13, and a member of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools). We are seeking an enthusiastic, versatile and inspiring Assistant Director of Music to join our Music Department and contribute to the vibrant musical life of the school.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished musician and passionate teacher who is able to inspire pupils from Pre-Reception to Year 8. They will work closely with the Director of Music and colleagues across the school to deliver an engaging and ambitious Music curriculum, whilst also contributing to performances, assemblies, productions and the wider co-curricular life of the school.

The role would particularly suit a musician who is a confident pianist and accompanist with the flexibility and enthusiasm to work across a wide range of musical activities.

In addition you will support the Director of Music with much of the involved work of running a busy and complex department, for instance helping with the organisation of concerts, timetabling of individual music lessons with our peripatetic music teachers, liaise with parents about the availability of instrumental sessions and help with the organisation of ABRSM music exams.
