If you are an outstanding Dance teacher, or determined to become one, we would very much like to hear from you. You will join an excellent team, strongly committed to reflecting on its teaching techniques and sharing excellent resources. Dance is a growing subject in the College and part of the 20-teacher Performing Arts Department.

We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational, motivated Teacher of Dance, flexibility to cover other elements of performing arts is desirable, but not essential. You will teach the AQA A-Level Dance specification alongside two other dance specialists including the Subject Leader for Dance. Your versatility in choreography across different styles is pivotal for our exploration of professional repertoire and contextual understanding within specific areas of study. Your ability to inspire enthusiasm and create an engaging atmosphere is fundamental to igniting students' passion for dance. You will join a team of 20 full-time and part-time staff working in a spacious, well-resourced new building with very talented and committed students.

The department is bursting with opportunities, including exciting extracurricular activities. We organise numerous trips and workshops each year and take the students to perform in local venues such as: The Nuffield Theatre, The Point, Romsey Abbey, Thornden Hall and the Mayflower Theatre. Wider activities include an annual ballet, regular Dance Showcases, workshops and competitions. The highly successful Dance Company were national champions at The Great Big Dance Off 2023 and regional champions in 2025.

What I Wish I'd Known Before Taking the Job

A job offer does not itself prove visa eligibility, sponsorship, healthcare access or net take-home pay. Confirm all four before paying relocation costs. [4] [5] [6]
