Wrekin College is seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Director of Music to lead one of the most successful and distinctive departments within the School.

Music is one of the jewels in Wrekin College’s crown. Over recent years, the Music Department has established an exceptional record of musical achievement, performance and participation at a national level, while ensuring that music remains an integral part of everyday school life. The appointment of a new Director of Music provides an exciting opportunity for an outstanding musician and educator to build upon this considerable success and shape the next chapter in the musical life of the School.

The successful candidate will inherit a department with a strong musical identity, highly committed staff, excellent facilities and a culture in which both musical excellence and broad participation are actively encouraged.

The present Director of Music will be retiring following a 13-year period of leadership. The School is therefore seeking an individual who can build upon the department’s established strengths while bringing their own ideas, energy and musical vision to Wrekin.

Salary: Competitive depending upon experience
