You will deliver engaging Music and Media lessons, create personalised learning experiences, and use music to build confidence, self-expression and independence. Working closely with families, therapists and colleagues, you will adapt learning to meet individual needs, provide pastoral support as a form tutor, and monitor progress to help every student succeed.

This role would suit a qualified teacher or an experienced music professional with a background in music instruction, production, recording technology or creative media. You'll be passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and committed to creating an inclusive, engaging and supportive environment.

What you will be doing

Deliver engaging Music and Creative Media lessons tailored to individual student needs.

Inspire students through practical, creative and hands-on learning experiences.

Help develop and grow an innovative music and recording studio provision.

Support students' personal development, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Act as a tutor, building positive relationships and helping students succeed both academically and personally.

Work collaboratively with families, therapists and wider professionals to support student outcomes.

Track progress, celebrate achievements and help students realise their potential.

What We're Looking For

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) or relevant music teaching/instruction certification.

Experience teaching Music, Creative Media or related subjects.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs.

A commitment to helping students achieve positive outcomes.

Confidence using music technology, recording equipment and industry-standard software is desirable.

Most importantly, you'll bring energy, creativity and a genuine belief in the power of music and education to transform lives.

The national unemployment indicator provides broad context only. Occupation- and city-specific demand was unavailable from a validated jurisdictional dataset, so Career Opportunity and Career Safety scores are omitted. [3]

Compensation

GDP per capita is included solely as national economic context. It is not a salary-equivalency or purchasing-power calculation, and the listing’s currency, taxes, pension and contract terms must be verified. [2]

Housing and Cost of Living

Validated city-level housing and rent data were unavailable in this automated run. Candidates should use official or regulated local housing sources and avoid treating national economic indicators as rent estimates.

Validated city-level commute and transportation-cost data were unavailable. Confirm the exact worksite, transit availability and commuting rules with the employer before relocating.

Community Snapshot

United Kingdom national population and economic indicators provide country context; they do not support neighborhood-level claims about safety, culture or community fit. [1] [2]

Local Economy

The national unemployment and GDP-per-capita indicators describe the broader economy, not the city or employer. [3] [2]

Work authorization, healthcare eligibility and tax obligations are jurisdiction-specific and can determine whether the role is viable. Use the official linked resources and confirm sponsorship directly with the employer. [4] [5] [6]

What I Wish I'd Known Before Taking the Job

A job offer does not itself prove visa eligibility, sponsorship, healthcare access or net take-home pay. Confirm all four before paying relocation costs. [4] [5] [6]
