City Junior School is a co-educational junior school which opened its doors in September 2022. Located in the historic and peaceful surroundings of Gray's Inn, our architecturally designed buildings reflect traditional values alongside a modern and innovative approach to education.

We are seeking an experienced Drum Kit Teacher to join the City Junior School Music Department from January 2027. The role currently comprises one half day of drum kit teaching on Tuesdays, with additional responsibilities for leading the Year 3 and 4 Percussion Ensemble on Tuesday mornings before school.

Music and Performing Arts at CJS is inclusive, vibrant, and purposeful. The vast majority of our pupils play one or more instruments and thrive on the growing musical opportunities that enhance and enrich our curriculum. Our programme of concerts and performance opportunities makes the most of our central location and access to the facilities of the City of London Corporation. Although a relatively new school, music is an integral part of school life, and our choirs, string orchestras, and various guitar, percussion, and wind ensembles celebrate our values of community and joy.
