The Legato School of Music is launching a fundraising initiative titled Notes of Hope to provide scholarships, instruments, and educational opportunities for students who lack the financial means to pursue music training. Indulgexpress.com reported that the event will feature an ensemble of multiple choirs and diverse musical performances aimed at supporting young talent in the community.
Abishek Gnanaraj, founder of the school, stated that rising costs have made quality music education a privilege rather than an accessible right. He explained that the concert serves as a direct response to ensure cost does not prevent passionate students from receiving proper instruction. The program brings together various groups, including the Sophia High School Junior Choir, the BSM Chorale, and the Curious Caterpillars, a children’s group trained by the institution.
Gnanaraj emphasized that participation in these ensembles teaches focus and discipline that extends beyond musical technique. The event, supported by the Bangalore School of Music, spans classical, pop, and musical theatre genres. Proceeds from the ticket sales will directly fund resources for underprivileged learners, reinforcing the school’s mission that music belongs to everyone regardless of background or economic status.
