Little Falls Community Schools is celebrating 50 years of its Indoor Marching Band Show and inviting band alumni to return for the milestone performances. 98.1 – Minnesota’s New Country reported the information.
High School Band Director Todd Peterson described the production as resembling a musical or theatrical show with many moving pieces. He said students work hard over two months and deserve two performance opportunities, noting that in his nine years no student has questioned why they perform both nights.
All three directors from the program’s 50-year history will participate: Dwight Nelson, Jonathan Laflamme, and Peterson. He said students enjoy the show partly because they select much of their own music, including section features, pep band tunes, contemporary rock, and classic selections.
Peterson said all the music consists of recognizable songs audiences can sing along with. Alumni had until Thursday to register. The two-day concert is scheduled for November 23 and 24 at Little Falls High School.
