The Loyalsock Township Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade band has been selected to perform at the 2027 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Conference after a competitive audition process involving roughly 100 ensembles statewide.
Ltsd.k12.pa.us reported that the ensemble, under Middle School Band Instructor and Music Curriculum Chair David Tini, will present a 30-minute performance at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie on April 15, 2027. The program will feature selections from the band’s school-year repertoire before an audience of music educators, college professors, students and industry representatives.
The group becomes the fourth ensemble in district history to receive the invitation. Tini attributed the accomplishment to student dedication and the collective efforts of the district’s music department, teachers, administrators and staff, noting that students spent years developing musicianship and building skills.
Loyalsock earned the NAMM Foundation’s Best Communities for Music Education designation for the 16th consecutive year, while Donald E. Schick Elementary School’s music program received the 2026 Advocacy in Action Award for Elementary Excellence from Music for All, according to the district.
