The Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) is establishing a new advocacy sounding board to gather insights from music program leaders throughout the state. According to MMEA Advocacy Chair, Dr., the organization is actively seeking input on issues and obstacles impacting music education.
The purpose of this sounding board is to facilitate a deeper comprehension of the concerns confronting music education, connect leaders with relevant resources, and pinpoint areas for advocacy efforts. MMEA is requesting participation from district and music program leaders across Massachusetts to share their experiences.
Additionally, MMEA encourages sharing success stories and positive developments occurring within schools, districts, and communities. These accounts of accomplishments, such as increased funding or expanded access, can serve as inspiration and provide valuable information for others.
