More than 40 Puerto Madryn students to perform in Frank Sinatra musical

More than 40 secondary school students from Puerto Madryn, including youth from Escuela de la Costa, will participate as dancers, actors, technicians and producers in a musical about Frank Sinatra scheduled for November 28 at the Cine Teatro Auditorium, eldiarioweb.com reported.

The production, titled My Way, traces the life and music of Sinatra and combines acting, singing and dance. The local production and educational component is led by Diego Cacciavillani, director of FAND, with musical direction by Nelson Coccalotto. The role of Sinatra will be performed by Román Coccalotto, who in 2026 won first male prize at the 24th Brazilian Maria Callas Singing Competition and first prize at the Cangemi International Opera Competition, according to the report.

FAND described the experience as educational, saying adolescents rehearse, solve problems and work collaboratively alongside professional artists, expanding learning beyond traditional classroom spaces. The initiative follows a 2025 concert version of The Phantom of the Opera that also involved students.

A December 11 co-production with Escuela de la Costa, Solo Ana, inspired by the life of Ana Frank, will feature Teatro Colón tenor Eduardo Bosio and serve a charitable purpose within a holiday toy drive, the report said.
