Music Education New Zealand Aotearoa has launched new resources for educators, including ‘Hana the Glowworm™’ teaching materials and a songwriting course for kids. The Hana Education Programme offers detailed lesson plans, teacher notes, sheet music, and more for each of the five songs from the show. Perfect for school and community theatre productions, the license includes a script with stage directions, orchestral backing tracks, lyric sheets, and promotional materials. Additionally, the organization has introduced the Kōkako Award, celebrating young musical talent in Aotearoa New Zealand.
