Music educators to Benefit from free Standards workshop

The Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) is hosting a workshop designed to assist music educators in understanding and applying relevant standards. According to ASME, the session, called ‘Know your standards – Elevate your practice,’ will provide valuable insights and practical approaches.

Presented in collaboration with the SA HALT Network, the workshop will take place on September 12, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Education Development Centre in Hindmarsh, South Australia. The event is offered at no cost to attendees.

Leading the session are Belinda Parr, a presenter who holds accreditation as a HALT Assessor, Beth Lyon, who serves as HALT/ASME (SA) Acting Vice Chairperson, and Amanda Rugari, a member of the ASME (SA) Council. The presenters will share their expertise and experience.

ASME expresses its respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and acknowledges their deep and enduring connection to the land, the sky, and the waterways.
