Music for All announced the appointment of Anne Fennell as Senior Director of Education on July 8, 2026, adding a veteran leader to its senior team, according to a news release from the organization. Fennell brings nearly four decades of experience in public education and leadership to the Indianapolis-based group.
Most recently, Fennell served as the Music Program Manager and Supervisor for the San Diego Unified School District, where she oversaw comprehensive music programs for thousands of students, the source reported. In her new capacity, she will guide strategic vision for the organization’s honor ensembles, camps, professional learning initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
Dr. James Weaver, President and CEO of Music for All, stated that Fennell’s blend of classroom excellence and administrative leadership embodies the organization’s mission, the release noted. Her background includes 32 years as a music educator and six years in district administration, along with service as an adjunct university professor preparing future teachers.
Fennell currently holds leadership roles within the profession, serving as Western Division President for the National Association for Music Education and as Advocacy Representative for the California Music Educators Association, per the source. Her accolades include the 2024 NAMM Believe in Music Award and recognition as a Top 10 GRAMMY Music Educator Award Finalist in 2016.
Fennell expressed admiration for the organization’s commitment to creating transformative experiences through music and stated her intent to expand opportunities for students and educators, the announcement said.
