Alma Del Mar Charter School reported the arrival of Mr. Angeley, a new educator who looks forward to a full school year to implement a music curriculum. The school stated that Angeley intends to explore music with students and foster a program where learners feel personally connected to the material. He hopes the initiative will complement school events and strengthen community ties.
Angeley said his entry into education was influenced by growing up in a family of teachers and benefiting from years of mentoring. He credits Professor Frederica Tilona, who challenged him academically at UMass Lowell, and Mr. Larkin, his high school physics and math teacher, for making difficult material interesting through animated instruction. Angeley also noted Ms. Veira, a creative writing teacher, helped him find his passion for composition. He described UMass Lowell as a diverse environment with people from various places and class types. A resident of Lowell, Angeley expressed enthusiasm for bringing his background to the school. His favorite book is “Cat’s Cradle” by Kurt Vonnegut, and he lists his wife’s lasagna as his preferred meal.
