Noteflight Updates Editor and Playback Tools

Noteflight has released a group of updates focused on making its editor more stable and easier to use while giving its playback engine more expressive capabilities.

New augmentation and diminution controls allow users to change the duration of multiple score elements at once instead of editing them individually. The controls work with Noteflight’s duration buttons and the bracket keyboard shortcuts.

Noteflight also improved the way its playback engine handles multiple repeat endings, interactions between segnos and repeat endings, and performance text such as “2x” and “3x.”

Additional playback enhancements improve interactions among crescendos, ritardandos, pedal markings, tremolos, trills, arpeggios and sustained notes. The changes are intended to produce more expressive score playback.

The update also adds the ability to copy and paste lines of lyrics. Standard controls for selecting, copying and pasting score elements can now be used with lyrics, including multiple lines.
