The Provincial Music School Re Si of Río Gallegos welcomed pianist Manuel Fraga for a training day organized for teachers and students, patagonianexo reported. The Provincial Education Council, through its General Directorate of Artistic Education, organized the activity.
Fraga worked with participants on aspects of musical interpretation and mastery of various genres, bringing his artistic experience to those who teach and train at the institution. His career combines classical training with extensive participation in the Argentine jazz scene, including performances at the Teatro Colón, the Teatro San Martín and the Centro Cultural San Martín.
He was a member of the Fénix Jazz Band, linked to the traditional jazz series at Café Tortoni, and the Swing Timers quintet. His recognitions include Best Pianist at the Sacramento Jazz Festival in California, and his discography includes productions recorded in the United States.
The General Directorate of Artistic Education and the Re Si community highlighted the value of bringing musicians with this trajectory into classrooms, noting that these experiences contribute to student training and offer pedagogical tools for teaching work, according to patagonianexo.
The day brought together Fraga’s professional experience with the educational practice of the school in a meeting dedicated to expanding knowledge and sharing different ways of interpreting music.
